The SD540 and SD540C motor controllers are manufactured by Mindsensors. The difference is that SD540 communicates with the robot controller via PWM, while the SD540C communicates via CAN. The SD540 was made legal in 2016 and is legal in 2017. The SD540C was made legal for 2017.
